My name is Amy and I am a wife and mother of 2!
For the last 8 years my husband has been in retail and we have relocated 7 times in those 8 years. This year (2010) my husband took a desk job and we finished our tradition of moving! We have moved to a town that we finally feel ‘home’ and live in a neighborhood that we couldn’t live without that gives my children 3 more “moms” and 7 more “brothers & sisters,” and me a great group of friends and a few extra kids that I love like they were my own!
I recently went back to work full-time because my 3 year old decided he wouldn’t potty train unless he could go to school, so back I went so we could get rid of the diapers! I’m missing my morning coffee with the girls, having dinner on the table at 5, getting my daughter off the bus, being a “classroom mom,” spending the day doing whatever my son thinks is a good idea and having my weekends free from housework, but I’m getting a much happier, well-rounded and cooperative family and a little extra cash in the bank account! I think I’m having a harder time with it than my family is, so I just need to find my groove and a new routine that works and life will be perfect!
I am that person that has a list or schedule for everything, and a list of all my lists! I crave organization in almost every aspect of my life (for some reason I can’t survive unless my car looks like a bomb went off in it!)! My children each took a little from that. My daughter’s room is immaculate, everything has it’s place and she gets herself up 30 minutes early every morning just so that she can make sure everything is where it belongs before she leaves for the day! My son on the other hand can’t sleep on the days that we clean his room! He wakes up in the middle of the night crying hysterically-I know it sounds crazy, but this is one of the lists I was talking about!
